The plant is the same since they are both parts of the Cannabis family. Hemp is grown to obtain raw materials for the industrial sector like fibers, cellulose, seeds, CBD oil, and more, and has a low level of the intoxicating agent THC. Cannabis, on the other hand, is cultivated and constantly developed to obtain high percentages of psychoactive THC, which is used in the pharmaceutical sector and for recreational purposes.

What is the best method of ingestion?

We can only recommend our CBD oils for internal or external consumption. CBD is a vegan cholesterol-free fatty acid, and fatty acids are better absorbed if mixed with other fatty acids like milk or vegan milk; CBD can also be blended in smoothies or juices. You can also take CBD oils sublingual. Do not mix water and CBD, as oil and water don't mix, the therapeutic effect will be delayed.

What's the best serving size for me, and how often should I take it?

By law, we can not give you any serving recommendations, and we can only suggest starting your CBD treatment with a low dosage and slowly increasing your intake! Each person is different; some might need more, and others need less. It depends on age, weight, and health condition(s). Unfortunately, you will have to be your own guinea pig until you find what dosage works for you! The golden rule is to start slowly with a small amount, and increase the dosage daily until you find what works for you!

Our raw materials suppliers have a rigorous quality assurance system. They use third-party laboratories to analyze our hemp extracts and their final products for cannabinoid potency, heavy metals, bacterial and microbial life, mycotoxins (fungus), and pesticides.

Since we started Prehemptive in 2017, we haven't heard of any adverse side effects, but that doesn't mean they might or not exist.

Hemp seed oil is made from the plant's seeds and has zero CBD.
Hemp CBD oil is crafted from the flowers and leaves of the plant and is abundant in naturally occurring CBD.

What is the endocannabinoid system?

CBD's prime function is to interact with the body's endocannabinoid system, a group of receptors found throughout the body. Most organs, including the skin and digestive tract, contain cannabinoid receptors. The endocannabinoid system (ECS) has four primary purposes: neuron protection, stress relief, immune response, and regulating the body's general state of balance, impacting functions such as appetite, sleep, memory, movement, mood, and pain. When introduced into the body, plant cannabinoids such as Hemp CBD stimulate the cannabinoid receptors in the exact mechanism as the body's endocannabinoid system. Introducing external cannabinoids like CBD into the system triggers the same therapeutic benefits as the internally produced endocannabinoids. Yes, and No, It's a tricky question to answer. Even in THC-free products, you have a trace amount of THC, like caffeine-free coffee has a trace amount of caffeine. If you use CBD daily, you have a higher chance of testing positive, but many companies have accepted CBD and adjusted their policy. You should ask your DHR for more info!

Supercritical extraction is one of the world's most popular and Prehemptive's favorite botanical extraction systems. Extraction using CO2 has the advantage of safely extracting plant nutrients at relatively low temperatures for better CBD potency. The other popular extraction method is Organic Sub-Zero Extraction (Organic USDA Certified). The technique consists of soaking hemp biomass with a carrier oil, flash-freezing the batch for 24h, and extracting the CBD crude oil. The advantage of the organic subzero extraction method is that high-quality hemp biomass can become a full spectrum CBD oil without further extractions, which means the CBD is fresher and has seen little processing time. Both extraction methods benefit the most from the entourage effect and are usually found in higher-quality products. Since the pandemic and ongoing supply chain problems, we are sourcing our hemp from two different USDA-certified organic hemp farms in Colorado.
